About O'ktoberfest Run und Fun Races

Pub 317 and Bozeman Running Co. have teamed up and are proud to bring Bozeman the annual Oktoberfest run.  As in years past there will be 2 race distances, 5k (3.1 miles) and a 10k (6.2 miles). 

The courses will be the same as in previous years(check below for course maps). The finish will include a German band and polka dancing with beer for those that are of age, first beer will be free for singing up. This year ALL runners will receive a beer (age permitting).

Event Detail for Oktoberfest Run und Fun 2011

COURSE:  The 10K is a loop course starting downtown, through Lindley Park, up toward the hospital, up Peet's Hill, around the water tower, around the tree street area, over to Kagy and return. It is hilly and not for wimps. The 5K is the same start with for the first 1.5 miles and then looped back to finish.

SHIRTS: Shirts this year will be a 100% tec polyester ASICS, gender specific (both men and women will be gender cut).  The logo will be a surprise past logo!!!

PACKET PICKUP: To try and spread traffic out at Bozeman Running Co. (thanks for letting us have packet pickup there!) packet pick up is ONLY going to be Thursday 29th, from
10- 7 and Friday 30th, from 10- 4:30. No packets will be given after that time, and no registrations will be allowed after 4:30, there will be no exceptions, so PLEASE try and come signup early as well as pickup your packet. 

SCHEDULE: Rouse closes at 4:30pm on Friday, race starts 5:30pm for both races, Polka band starts at 6:30 with awards shortly thereafter.  Party will last till 10pm.

TIMING: This year Casey Jermyn (Owner of BRC) will be using a Chrono Track chip timing system.  A disposable chip will be given to you at packet pickup with instructions on how to use a “D” tag (attaches on your shoe). 

THE SECOND YOU FOLD THE TAG IN HALF IS THE SECOND YOU WON’T GET TIMED, DON’T FOLD THE TAG IN HALF.

FEES: $30 up until Friday, then $40 on race day.  Beneficiary Non – Profits will be Haven, and Family Promise, if you would like to donate more than just the fee please feel free by letting the gentlemen at BRC know when picking up your packet.
